A long-awaited truck stop and travel center is coming to Rock Falls in 2025. At the Nov. 14 meeting of the Rock Falls Planning and Zoning Commission, City Administrator Robbin Blackert announced that Love’s Travel Stop is purchasing from the city 30 acres of land along Interstate 88, commonly known as the Schmitt Addition. The land is east of state Route 40 and north of the interstate.
