The featured section of the “Hike the Hennepin” series is 3.8 miles long and has been named the “Red-Tailed Hawk.”
Hikers will meet at Bridge 56 on Illinois Route 92 at 1:30 p.m., where participants will then be shuttled to Bridge 59 to begin the hike.
Organizers said participants do not need to be members of the Friends of the Hennepin Canal to take part, and there is no fee to participate. Attendees are encouraged to invite friends and dress appropriately for the weather.
