During the month, Troop 1 troopers issued a total of 1,149 citations and 844 written warnings. Troopers also made 24 criminal arrests.
Of the citations issued:
- 485 were for speeding
- 24 were for distracted driving violations
- 48 were for occupant restraint violations
Troopers investigated 49 traffic crashes and assisted 176 motorists. In addition, 223 commercial motor vehicle inspections were conducted during the reporting period.
There were 24 arrests for driving under the influence.
Troop 1 encompasses Boone, Carroll, Jo Daviess, Lee, Ogle, Stephenson, Whiteside, and Winnebago counties.
