A rain date has been scheduled for May 17, 2026.
Registration will begin at 8 a.m., with shooting to start following sign-up. The event will feature two-person teams made up of one youth shooter and one law enforcement officer, with four-person squads participating throughout the competition.
Youth participants must be members of a school trap shooting team. All Morrison Sportsmen’s Club rules will apply during the event.
Organizers encourage all youth shooters to pre-register through their coach, club, or by contacting Jim Zaagman. Law enforcement officers interested in participating are asked to contact their department head or Jim Zaagman at 815-590-8060, or reach out through the Morrison Sportsmen’s Club Facebook page. Shotguns will be available for officers if needed.
The event is free to attend and participate in. Ammunition and food will be provided by the Morrison Sportsmen’s Club.
Members of the public are invited to attend and experience kids and cops trap shooting together during the community event.
