  • Criminal Damage to Government Property, a Class 4 Felony
  • Theft of Government Property, a Class 4 Felony
  • Theft Under $500.00, a Class A Misdemeanor

Both individuals were processed and released in accordance with the Illinois SAFE-T Act.

During the course of the investigation, Deputies also arrested London Thomas, age 22, of Dixon, for Obstructing Justice (a Class 4 Felony). Thomas was located near the abandoned ATV and is alleged to have coordinated its removal to private property and its concealment. Thomas was transported to the Lee County Jail and was also released in accordance with the Illinois SAFE-T Act.

Citizens are reminded to report suspicious activity or drug intelligence information by calling the Lee County Sheriff’s Office at (815) 284-6631 or Crime Stoppers at 1-888-CAUGHT-U. Callers can remain anonymous and receive rewards of up to $1,000 if their information leads to an arrest.
