NAGs Workday at Spring Slough on Saturday, March 14

Submitted
Spring is sprung! Spring Slough, that is.

On Saturday, March 14th at 1 p.m., the Whiteside County Natural Area Guardians (NAGs) will be picking up trash and posting new “no dumping” signs at this diverse wetland, which has been visited by litterbugs in recent months. Come beautify with them, and learn about this special area.

To get to the site from Sterling, take Riverdale Road south out of town and turn right on Specter Drive after the I-88 overpass. Then, turn right on Bottom Road and park beyond the culvert. You can also reach the site via Prophet Road and Prophetstown Road to Bottom Road. The exact location can be found here: https://maps.app.goo.gl/2cDXqEd2bzruhSm77?g_st=ic
