Betty was born on April 13, 1927, in Dixon, the daughter of Frank and Irene (Taylor) Wiggins, Sr. She married Roland Murray on October 2, 1946, in Dixon. He preceded her in death on March 14, 2019. Betty was a member of Sauk Valley Community Church in Dixon. She was a devoted farmer’s wife and homemaker. Above all things, Betty loved her God and her family.
Betty is survived by her daughter, Linda Murray of Dixon, and many nieces and nephews.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one sister, and three brothers.
A Celebration of Betty’s Life will be held at 3:00 pm on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at Sauk Valley Community Church in Dixon, with Pastor Andy Minch officiating. A Private Burial will have already taken place at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Dixon.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Serenity Hospice & Home in Oregon, IL, and/or Samaritan’s Purse International Relief.
