He was born on February 21, 1974, in Sterling, the son of John H. and Audrey M. (Kness) Folkers. Chad graduated from Milledgeville High School. He had worked out of the International Union of Operating Engineers Local #150 for 27 years and farmed on the family Farm. Chad enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, kayaking, working on machinery, and spending time with his daughters playing board games and watching movies.
Survivors include his daughters: Jocelyn (Austin) McGrew of Avon, Jacquelyn Folkers and Juliana Folkers, both of Sterling; his father, John H. (Laura) Folkers of Sterling; his mother, Audrey Moran of Dixon; his brother, Tyler (Mellysa) Devine of Rock Falls.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
Cremation has taken place. There will be no public services
