He was born on November 17, 1936, in Portland Twp, the son of Clifford C. and Nora (Wilkins) Morse. He was a graduate of Prophetstown High School and served in the US Army. Darrel married Loralie Jacobs on August 2, 1959. He had worked for many years at General Electric in Morrison before retiring. Darrel enjoyed the outdoors and took great pride in maintaining his home and yard.
Survivors include his wife, Loralie; daughter, Beth Morse; son, Mitchell (Julie) Morse; sisters: Idonna (Marco) Kustudia and Norrine Linderman; six grandchildren: Ryan Gillis, Hon. Ashley Morse; Anna Imel, Shane Rivers, Addison Nuding, and Charlie Lynn Morse; six great-grandchildren: Breslyn, Morse, Huxley, Harlon, Korby, and Milton.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, LeRoy Morse, and daughter, Teresa Morse.
There will be no public visitation or services.
