Edward was born on June 19, 1947, in Sterling, the son of Raymond and Jean (Palmer) Pleskovitch. He was a graduate of Rock Falls High School and a veteran of the United States Army, serving in the Vietnam War. Edward received a Purple Heart for his military service. He married Peggy Livingston on June 1, 2001, in Morrison. She preceded him in death on September 21, 2022. Edward was employed with the Hennepin State Parkway in maintenance for 8 years, retiring in 2001. He enjoyed splitting wood, camping, being outdoors, and sewing.
Survivors include 2 sons, Erik (Cassie) Pleskovitch of Dixon, Erin Pleskovitch of Dixon; 5 sisters, Paula Tartar of Dixon, Rhonda (Mike) Simmons of Dixon, Sandy Pleskovitch-Miller of Dixon, Theresa (Dean) O’Neil of Polo and Colleen (Andy) Jackson of Sterling; 5 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; many, many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 son, Nickolaus Pleskovitch; 1 sister, Sheree Morris; 1 brother, Steve Pleskovitch.
Visitation will be held from 3:00 – 5:00 PM Thursday, August 27, 2026 at the McDonald Funeral Home in Rock Falls, with military honors to follow. Cremation rites will be accorded, and a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established to Serenity Hospice Home in Oregon.
