Moon was born March 29, 1946, in Carbondale, IL, the son of Henry and Martha (McCalla) Mullins. In his younger years, he was employed at Elevator Construction Company in Rock Falls, and he enjoyed fishing.
He is survived by his daughter, Dawn (Mark) Nardini of Rock Falls; his son, Emory L. (Meg) Mullins, Jr. of Naperville; one sister, Feona Refakis of Las Vegas, NV; six grandchildren, Jordyn Smith, Breu Knox, Lauryn Nardini, Niklaus Nardini, Ashley Ruettiger, and Brittany Buccini; ten great grandchildren; and one nephew.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one granddaughter, Melinda Heppler.
