Janice was born on March 19, 1953, in Dixon, the daughter of Harold and Marilyn (Heaton) Andrews. She was a graduate of Dixon High School, class of 1971. Janice married Fred John Kessel in December of 1973. He preceded her in death on April 6, 2001. She later married Edmund C. Meacham. Janice was employed as a Registered Nurse at several area nursing facilities. She enjoyed gardening and loved spending time with her kids and grandkids.
Survivors include her husband, Edmund C. Meacham of Dixon; 1 daughter, Amanda Kessel of Dixon; 1 son, Tony Kessel of Mendota; 1 sister, Sharon (Michael) Welker of Grand Detour; 2 grandchildren, Austin and Jackson Kessel; 1 great-grandchild, Marlow Kessel.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation will be held from 9:30-11:00 AM Friday, September 18, 2026, at Harvest Time Bible Church in Rock Falls. Funeral service will be at 11:00 AM with Pastor Jason Borton officiating. Burial will follow at Union Cemetery in Lamoille at 2:00 PM. Arrangements were completed by the McDonald Funeral Home in Rock Falls.
