Joey was born on October 2, 1982, in Sterling, the son of Carl Maves, Jr. and Nancy (Gerlach) Heckman. He enjoyed watching racing, football, gaming, going fishing, and was an avid WWF fan.
He is survived by 1 sister, Tammy (Rich) Paulson of Briggsville, WI; 1 brother, Carl (Sarah) Maves, III of Rock Falls; his step-dad David Heckman of Sterling; 4 nieces Daisy and Dixie Maves of Rock Falls, Nadia (Kent Adey) Paulson of Evening Shade, MO, Jersie Paulson of Briggsville WI, and 1 nephew Carl Maves IV of Rock Falls, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Cremation rites have been accorded. There will be no services at this time. The family will have a small get-together at a later date to celebrate his life. His sister will post details on the McDonald Funeral Home site on Joey’s page. Arrangements were completed by the McDonald Funeral Home in Rock Falls.
