John was born January 22, 1960, the son of James R., Sr., and Thelma L. Cochran. He was united in marriage to Deborah (Riddle) Cochran on October 22, 1982. John owned and operated TLC Pallets for 19 years.
He is survived by his loving wife, Deb of Fulton; three sons, John, Jr. (Melinda) Cochran of Clinton, IA, Joe (Candi) Riddle of Rock Falls, and Joshua Riddle of Clinton, IA; twelve grandchildren; five great grandchildren; three sisters, Rosa Barb (Tom McBroom) of Sterling, Cheryl Johnson of Rock Falls, and Thelma K. Cochran of Rock Falls; several nieces and nephews; and his beloved dog, Karma.
He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, and one niece, Lisa Marie.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, from 11:00 AM to noon at the McDonald Funeral Home in Rock Falls. The funeral will follow at noon with Pastor Brian Tribley officiating.
A memorial has been established.
