Judy was born on November 23, 1942, in Sterling, the daughter of Donald L. and Elaine M. (Josephsen) Handel. She attended Rock Falls Schools and graduated from Rock Falls Twp High School. She began her working career in the office of Charles O. Larson Manufacturing in Rock Falls, where her late father had worked. She later went to work at Northwestern Steel and Wire Co, from which she retired after many years of service. Judy loved spending time with her family and her beloved pets, Wrigley and Zoey. She also enjoyed making quilts and gifting them to family and friends.
Judy is survived by her brother, Don (Diana) Handel of Harmon; three grandchildren: Natalie, Kaylee, and Donnie; three great-grandchildren and several nieces.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Denis Handel; her son, Cliff Golden; her grandson, Adam Huff; and her great-granddaughter.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, from 9- 10 AM at the McDonald Funeral Home in Rock Falls. The funeral will follow at 10 AM with the Reverend Dalmus Meeks officiating. Burial will conclude at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Dixon.
