He was born in Dixon, Illinois, on November 11, 1998, to Jim and Lisa (Vandermissen) Wiggins, the oldest of two boys. Justin attended Dixon High School, where he was engaged in so many activities. He demonstrated his musical talents in playing the trombone and enjoyed being around his classmates and friends throughout his school years. Justin was an active member of the Illinois Eastern Iowa Key Club, which was the connection that brought him to his future wife. Justin was devoted to his Catholic faith and was active in St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Dixon throughout his life, as well as sought out other Catholic churches to attend when traveling. What was clear from an early age was the ambition and drive that Justin had in helping others. For those who had the privilege to truly know Justin, it would be an understatement to say that Justin had a lot of passion in all things, and he would not have been happy in this world if he did not pursue with vigor all of them. We all just wish that one of his passions of flying, had not tragically shortened the life of a beautiful soul that was so full of positive energy and so full of future promise.
Justin never let age stand in the way of achieving what he set out to accomplish. One of Justin’s powerful traits was his curiosity, and that took him a long way in life with success. In grade school, he realized his passion for figuring things out on his own and tinkered with IT and computers. At the age of 13, Justin harnessed this interest in computers and IT and was traveling around Dixon to go to people’s homes to fix their computers, the very activity that would create his future successful company. In the early entrepreneurial days, Justin solicited the help of his grandmother to drive him around to business appointments because he had no driver’s license, an activity that his grandmother cherished in helping her grandson fulfill his passion. Wiggins Computing was founded by Justin through his hard work and dedicated spirit, and he ultimately expanded the business to become CEC, a company that serves customers across the Midwest, solving needs from electrical to networking.
Justin was embedded within the Dixon and broader community in so many ways and was always helping other business owners in thinking about how to support the community. One of Justin’s other traits was his unwavering response of saying yes to anything when someone needed help. His willingness to help others and to jump in, at a moment’s notice, was Justin to the core. Justin always jumping in at times created chaos, but in the best conceivable way, because all the energy that he brought to every situation caused you to smile and appreciate how much he cared for others. This ability to take chaos into impact for others is one of his superpowers that amplified his direct contribution to so many people so quickly in life.
Justin had the fortunate fate of meeting a wonderful woman in the Key Club, Madison Coulter from Joy, Illinois. Madi and Justin got married on December 27, 2025, in East Moline, Illinois, and settled their family in Dixon in 2025. Madi had her own superpower, which was her amazing talent to absorb Justin’s excitement and passion and harness that into even more success for them both, which made them the dynamic duo. Madi and Justin have a beautiful baby girl, Clara, and Madi is expecting another child within a handful of months, a blessing bestowed on them both and to us all.
Justin’s legacy includes being a successful business owner/founder and bringing excitement to everything he did by throwing his entire passion into every aspect of each of our lives. He will be known as a hardworking, creative, and energetic soul who had a heart of gold. Without question, Justin was the best father, husband, son, and brother, and he lived more in the 27 years on this earth than most would ever live in 100 years.
Justin was preceded in death by his grandparents, Harold and Barb Wiggins. He is survived by his wife, Madison (Coulter) Wiggins; his daughter, Clara; his unborn baby, Wiggins; and his father and mother, Jim and Lisa (Vandermissen) Wiggins; his younger brother, Jared (Kayty) Wiggins; and his grandparents, Joyce and Dave Vandermissen. Justin has many cousins, aunts and uncles, and great aunts and great uncles, all who will miss Justin dearly.
