Kathy was born August 15, 1946, in Moline, the daughter of Bernard and Phyllis (Leonard) Huff. She married Keith Potter on November 28, 1970, in Moline. Kathy worked as a bookkeeper for many years. She was a member of Pilot International and enjoyed volunteering with the Sterling Stingray Club and Scouting America Troop 305. Kathy and Keith could often be found taking day trips together and attending live theatre shows at Timber Lake Playhouse for over 40 years.
Survivors include her husband Keith, of Sterling; one son, Mark (MeLinda) Potter, of Decatur; one sister, Jackie Huff, of Madison, WI; and two grandchildren, Morgan and Meredith Potter, of Decatur.
Kathy was preceded in death by her parents.
Cremation rites will be accorded. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 1:00-3:00 PM on Saturday, September 12, 2026, at McDonald Funeral Home, Rock Falls. The memorial service will follow at 3:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.
