She was born on January 2, 1948, in Chicago, the daughter of Salvatore and Hazel (White) Pettrone. She married Harry Schrodt Jr. on April 29, 1967, in Palos Hills. He died December 31, 2017. She and her husband moved to Sterling from Bridgeview in 2000. She enjoyed reading, sewing and taking day trips.
Survivors include her daughter, Anna (Dennis) Phillips of Sterling; her son H. Sam Schrodt of Coffeeville, KS; her brother, Charles Pettrone of Romeoville; 9 grandchildren including special grandkids Joe Powers and Kaitlyn Schrodt; 11 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Harry Schrodt Jr; sister, Donna Maria Saballus; great grand daughter, Elizabeth; and son David.
The family will gather privately to honor her memory. Cremation had taken place. Arrangements entrusted to the McDonald Funeral Home & Crematory.
