She was born Feb. 12, 1955, in Chicago, the daughter of James and Margaret (Woods) Schwertfeger. She enjoyed participating in Special Olympics.
Linda is preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Margaret Schwertfeger, and one brother, Donald Schwertfeger.
She is survived by two brothers, William Schwertfeger of Indiana and Allan (Patricia) Schwertfeger of Dixon, several nieces and nephews, and her many friends at Kreider Services.
Cremation rites have been accorded and burial of cremains will be at a later date at Mt Olivet Cemetery.
