She was born on June 15, 1934, in Chadwick, the daughter of Jess W. and Bessie H. (Collinson) Schreiner. She married James C. Weaver on August 31, 1962, in Ottawa. He died March 20, 2001. Marilyn was a member of East Jordan United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her daughter, Pam (Tom) Elder of Corinth, TX; her son, Perry Weaver of Chadwick; five grandchildren, Mike (Elsa) Elder, Mark (Yunie) Elder, Matt Elder, Nathan (Tesla) Weaver and Amanda (Jon) Doty; 18 great grandchildren, Alexis, Ayden (Ellora), Ashton, Axel, Edison, Isaac, Benjamin, Joshua and Nevaeh Elder, Madison Stevens, Gunnar Jayne, Xander, Maleena, Natalie And Wyatt Weaver, Anthony Claudin, Brayden and Renea Doty; and 2 great, great grandchildren, Eleanor and Lawrence Elder.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her brother Eugene Schreiner.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 21, 2026, from 9:30 – 10:30 AM at the East Jordan United Methodist Church, 22027 Polo Road, rural Sterling, with the funeral to follow at 10:30. Burial immediately follow at the East Jordan Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials should be made to her church in her memory.
