He was born on June 5, 1961, in Amboy, the son of Elmo and Marjorie (Lahman) Litts. Mike graduated from Amboy High School in 1979. He had worked at Tree House Foods for 42 years and retired in 2021. Mike enjoyed fishing, hunting, riding his Harley, shooting pool, and spending time with family. He married Tonya Plog on March 23, 1996.
Survivors include his wife, Tonya of Dixon; his daughters: Breanna Litts (Tyler) of Dixon, Jamie (Adam) Huseman of Reedsburg, WI; three sons: Zachary Myers of Clinton, IA, Dustin (Skye) Myers of Colorado Springs, CO and Nicholas Litts of Rockford;13 grandchildren; his mother, Marge Jackson of Harmon; two brothers: Tony (Sherri) Litts of Harmon and August (Ross) Jackson of Sterling, VA; two sisters: Amy (John) Varga of Harmon and Debbie Arellano of Rock Falls; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father.
A gathering of friends and family will take place on Sunday, March 29, 2026, from 2-4 PM at the McDonald Funeral Home & Crematory in Rock Falls.
