He was born on Nov. 24, 1950, in Mendota, IL, the son of Irie and Irma (Stouffer) Bonnell. Michael worked for Deans Foods, later known as Bay Valley Tree House Foods, for over 40 years prior to his retirement. He also owned and operated Bonnell’s Body Shop. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, a volunteer at the Amboy Car Show, and enjoyed taking cruises, oftentimes to the Caribbean.
Michael married Kathleen King in Maytown, IL, in 1971.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Dean Bonnell, Richard “Dick” (June) Bonnell, William “Bill” Bonnell, and Raymond “Tony” Bonnell.
Michael is survived by his wife, Kathleen; children, Brian (Amy) Bonnell of Carlsbad, CA, and Jason (Anna) Bonnell of Waukesha, WI; four grandchildren, Morgan Bonnell, Kendall Bonnell, Aiden Bonnell, and Alex (Abbie) Noble; two great-grandchildren, Charlie Noble and Kate Noble; siblings Rose Ella Leffelman, Russell Bonnell, and Jane (Terry) Garland; sisters-in-law Ruth and Lynne; and several nieces and nephews.
Cremation rites have been accorded, with private family services to be held at a later date.
