Patricia was born February 16, 1941, in Mt. Morris, IL, the daughter of Raymond and Athea (Highbarger) Hagemann. She earned two Associates degrees in computer programming and accounting. After attending SVCC, she worked full-time at Kable Printing and watched her family grow. Her favorite hobby was cooking with her grandchildren. “To see them eagerly learn from me and reward me with their hugs made everything right with this world”.
She is survived by one daughter, Rhonda (Doug) Biller of Sterling; one son, Thomas (Heather) Carter of Huntley; two brothers, George Helfrich, Jr. of Dixon and Robert (Irene) Helfrich of California City, CA; 13 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Cassandra Carter; one brother, Gregory Helfrich; three sisters, Sylvia Stover, Sandra Hyche and Susanna Martin; one grandson, Cody Erisman.
A gathering of family and friends will be held Friday, September 11, 2026, from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM at the McDonald Funeral Home in Rock Falls. The memorial service will follow at 11:00 AM with Pastor Jason Borton of Harvest Time Bible Church officiating. Burial will be held at 2:00 PM at Egan Cemetery in Egan.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial service has been established to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
