He was born on March 17, 1957, in Sterling, the son of Gene R. and Shirley A. (Roush) Dorathy. He married Debra Etheridge on July 3, 1976, in Yorktown. Pat had worked at Sterling Steel and later for Legget and Platt. He enjoyed attending his grandchildren’s events, fishing, and drag racing.
Survivors include his wife, Debra; son, Douglas (Chasity) Dorathy of Tampico; daughters: Stephanie (Bryan) Johnson of Prophetstown and Amber Dorathy; mother, Shirley Dorathy of Tampico; brother, Brian (Cathy) Dorathy of Rock Falls; sisters: Lori (Michelle) Dorathy of Dixon and LeAnn Osterdock of Tampico; brother-in-law, Randy (Beth) Etheridge of Tampico; and 10 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father; grandson, D.J. Dorathy; and brother-in-law Dale Etheridge
At his request, cremation will take place, and there will be no services at this time.
