He was born on December 17, 2000, in Dixon, IL, the son of Nathan Fossett and Cindy Gericke. Quinn was a graduate of Sterling High School, class of 2019. He was employed by the Bicounty Special Education Cooperative, at the Thome school in Rock Falls. Quinn was a jovial young man, always doing what he could to make your day a more light-hearted one. He loved all things Star Wars, he loved playing video games with others and by himself, and he valued time spent with family and friends, especially around a shared dinner table. He also enjoyed working with the children in his classroom and tried to make sure he had a positive influence on their lives. He was dearly loved and will be deeply missed by those who knew and cared for him.
Survivors include his mother, Cindy Gericke, of Ashland, OR; father Nathan (Briana) Fossett, of Sterling, IL; brothers Brennan (Katie) Waller and Beck Naylon; sister Laelin Fossett; step-sisters Leila Anderson and Elizabeth Sandholm; maternal grandparents Tom (Donna) Gericke; paternal grandmother Debra Fossett, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and a nephew.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Bob Fossett.
Visitation will be held on Monday, April 27, 2026, from 4-6 PM at the McDonald Funeral Home & Crematory in Rock Falls, with the funeral to follow at 6 PM. Pastor Jason Borton will officiate.
