He worked last for Crest Foods in Ashton, IL.
Rich was born on November 17, 1957, in Berwyn, IL, the son of Ray and Jessie (Montalbano) Mowery. If you knew Rich, you knew he was a die-hard wrestling fan and loved to watch the W.W.E. It has been said that growing up in an Italian household, he learned to appreciate a good plate of spaghetti. Rich also enjoyed football and family cookouts.
Rich is survived by his three sons, Paul (Shannon) Mowery, James (Cassie) Mowery, and John Mowery; one brother, Robert (Billie Jo) Mowery; two sisters, Darlene Mowery and Louette Mowery; five grandchildren, Olivia Mowery, Joseph Hoyle, Rebecca Hoyle, Cameron Mowery, and Konner Mowery; and many nieces and nephews.
Rich was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Donald Mowery and Jack Dean Mowery; three sisters, Phyllis Mowery, Georgetta Mowery, and Patricia Mowery; and the mother of his children, Annette Hall.
A Celebration of Rich’s Life will take place at 3:00 pm on Saturday, May 16, 2026, at Elks Page Park Reception Hall in Dixon.
Memorials may be directed to the family.
