Ron was born on November 7, 1958, in Sterling, the son of Harold and Donna (Mullane) Zink. He graduated from Rock Falls High School. Ron married Lucy Perris on October 25, 1996, in Sterling. He was employed with area factories, including Allied Lock, and retired from Lawrence Brothers Manufacturing. Ron enjoyed hunting, fishing, and was a member of the Who Else Club in Nelson.
Survivors include his wife Lucy Zink of Rock Falls; mother, Donna Zink of Rock Falls; one son, Bradley (Kindi) Zink of Washington; two sisters, Debra Meeks of Rock Falls and Theresa Hurd of Campbells Point, WI; two brothers, Richard (Stephanie) Zink of Lyndon and James (Denise) Zink of Rock Falls; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, uncle Gary Mullane, and both maternal and paternal grandparents.
A gathering of family and friends will take place from 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at the McDonald Funeral Home in Rock Falls. Celebration of life will be held at a later date.
