Rosemary is survived by her husband, Bruce Buckert; her children, Laura (Bryan) Hart, Melissa (Sam) Cassens, Amber (Koren) Buckert, and Seth (Sarah) Buckert; and her grandchildren, Brady Hart, Audry Hart, Jayce Hart, Ava Cassens, Wyatt Cassens, Kylie Cassens, Kinsley Cassens, Ryker Cassens, Grace Cassens, and Elliot Buckert.
Born March 9, 1960, Rosemary was the daughter of Edward and Lucille Grennan. She was the youngest of 10 children: Carlene Jenner, Suzanne (Chuck) McCormick, Joan Goncalves, Kathleen (Charlie) Hurches, Bernadette (Matt) Hermes, Eugene (Peggy) Grennan, John (Konnie) Grennan, Veronica (Ed) Tschosik, and Terry (Rosemary) Grennan, along with numerous nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.
While Rosemary accomplished plenty in her professional life at United Parcel Service, her greatest accomplishments were the family she built and the people she loved. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Her children and grandchildren were her world, and she took great pride in every one of them.
Rosemary loved spending time with her kids and grandkids, being surrounded by friends, crafting, and cooking. She had a generous heart, a strong personality, and a way of making herself known wherever she went. She loved fiercely, worried deeply, laughed often, and was never afraid to share exactly what was on her mind. Even during her final days, Rosemary remained unmistakably Rosemary. She was cared for by an incredible team of hospital and hospice staff, and she made sure they knew exactly what she thought of things—right up until the very end. She gave them hell, made them laugh, and left an impression they won’t soon forget. Rosemary leaves behind a family who will miss her more than words can say, countless memories, and a whole lot of stories that will undoubtedly be told for years to come.
And knowing Rosemary, she would probably be more concerned that everyone is eating than she would be about any of us being sad. So, in her honor, eat something, hug your people, and maybe don’t argue with the hospice nurses. She already did enough of that for all of us.
Her visitation will be held on Thursday, September 10, 2026, from 4:00-7:00 P.M. at the McDonald Funeral Home in Rock Falls. Celebration of the Mass of Christian Burial will be on Friday, September 11, 2026, at 10:00 A.M. at St. Andrew Catholic Church in Rock Falls. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Harmon.
