Rose was born November 21, 1947. She married Rosendo Solis in Sterling, IL. They were married for almost 35 years. She enjoyed spending time with her family and loved her pets, crocheting, and dancing with Rosendo.
She is survived by her husband, Rosendo Solis of Rock Falls; one son, Joshua Martinez of Sterling; four step-daughters, Sandi (John) Cavazos, Betty (Tony Martinez) Solis, Claudia Nieto, and Delilah Berlanga; one half-sister, Terry Boneos; eleven grandchildren, Johnny Cavazos, Tori (Jorden) Pitkin, Nathan Cavazos, Charisma Martinez, Toni Martinez, Andrew Martinez, Treyvon Solis, Tayveon Solis, Irma Nieto, Abraham-Izmael Berlanga, and Zakkai Berlanga; and two great grandchildren, Isabelle Pitkin and Sophie Pitkin.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers; one sister; and one son-in-law, Arturo Nieto.
A visitation will be held on Friday, August 28, 2026 from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM at the McDonald Funeral Home, 505 First Avenue, Sterling. A graveside service will follow at 1:30 PM at Calvary Cemetery in Sterling.
