He was born on April 18, 1968, in St. Louis, MO, the son of James and Naomi (Powers) Farrar.
Steven worked at CCI and Rochelle Plastics, both in Rochelle, IL. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. Steven married Misty Smith on July 18, 1998, in Amboy, IL.
He loved his family and was a loving husband and father. Steven was also a good friend to all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Steven is survived by his wife, Misty; three sons, Matthew Farrar, Christopher Farrar, and Michael Farrar; siblings, Jeff (Tina) Farrar of Florida, Billy Sischo of Florida, and Manachee Blankenship of Mississippi; and several nieces and nephews.
Cremation rites have been accorded, with a celebration of life to be held at a later date.
