She was born on May 23, 1964, in Amboy, IL, the daughter of Wayne and Iva Grace (Wilcox) Huyett. Vicki was a member of the CB Club. She married Earl Kessel on July 28, 1984, at Shaw Station. Vicki is preceded in death by her husband, Earl, on Feb. 12, 2025, her mother, and sisters, Sherry Huyett and Sheryl Bridges. She is survived by her children, Corey (Beth Wernick) Kessel of Amboy, Tiffiany (Dominic) Carrico of Princeton, Ashley (Bryan) Busche of Manchester, TN; 5 grandchildren, Chase Stewart, Oliver and Sawyer Carrico, Emerson and Adalyn Busche; her father, Wayne; and sister Sheila Taylor.
Vicki was an amazing mother and grandmother. She found her joy in witnessing the successes and achievements of her children and grandchildren. You could always find her with a friendly wave from her red patio chair. Those who knew her spoke of her kind heart and expressed what a great woman and friend she was. She is now resting in peace beside her husband.
Cremation rites have been accorded, with a celebration of life to be held at a later date. Memorial donations can be directed to Vicki’s family. Arrangements by the Mihm-Jones Funeral Home in Amboy.
