According to organizers, the proposed parade route would mirror the traditional Fiesta Days parade route, spanning both Sterling and Rock Falls. The Rock Falls Police Department has expressed support for the event’s return, while a final decision is still pending from the Sterling Police Chief.
Organizers say they are continuing to work closely with local authorities and hope to provide another update once additional details are confirmed.
In addition to route planning, efforts are underway to secure funding for the event. While many of the associated costs are one-time expenses, organizers noted that they are seeking community support to help cover those costs. A GoFundMe page has been established to accept donations.
Once key logistics are finalized, planning will expand to include parade themes and additional features.
Organizers also emphasized that they welcome community input as planning continues and expressed appreciation for the ongoing support from residents in both Sterling and Rock Falls.
