Prophetstown High School Hosts Annual 3-on-3 Firecracker Tournament, Raises Funds for Post-Prom

On Saturday, July 6, Prophetstown High School hosted the annual 3-on-3 Firecracker tournament, which serves as a fundraiser for the Prophetstown High School Class of 2027 Post Prom.

This year, 50 teams participated: eight teams in the 3rd/4th-grade bracket, seven teams in the 5th/6th-grade bracket, eight teams in the 7th/8th-grade bracket, four teams in the 9th/12th-grade bracket, 13 teams in the men’s bracket, and 10 teams in the open men’s bracket.

In the 3rd/4th-grade bracket, 815 finished first (playing five games), Court Kings placed second (playing six games), and Lakers secured third place (playing four games).

In the 5th/6th-grade bracket, Hoop Squad finished first (playing five games), Sterling placed second (playing six games), and Net Rippers secured third place (playing four games).

In the 7th/8th-grade bracket, EP Squad finished first (playing five games), Grilled Cheese Gangsters placed second (playing five games), and Bamm!! secured third place (playing five games).

In the 9th/12th-grade bracket, Chicago Bobcats finished first (playing three games), Brick Layers placed second (playing three games), and Splash Bros secured third place (playing three games).

In the men’s bracket, Anbu finished first (playing six games), Dad Bods placed second (playing eight games), and WYA/Vegas Slots secured third place (playing five games).

In the open men’s bracket, Killas finished first (playing seven games), Monstars placed second (playing six games), and No Leftovers secured third place (playing five games).
