ROCK FALLS — The Rock Falls Chamber of Commerce is gearing up for a busy season, announcing a slate of upcoming events designed to bring together businesses, residents, and visitors across the Sauk Valley.

The chamber is hosting a Community Update focused on Cledy’s House of Hope, a Legacy Women’s Sober Living Home initiative led by Sauk Valley Voices of Recovery. The event will offer updates on progress made over the past year, along with an opportunity for attendees to ask questions and provide feedback.

The Community Update is set for May 13 from 6 to 7 p.m. at the Rock Falls Community Building, located at 601 W. 10th St. Doors open at 5:30 p.m., and attendees are encouraged to RSVP in advance.

Seasonal favorites are also returning, including the Rock Falls Farmers Market, which will run from May through October. The market will be held every Wednesday and Saturday from 7 to 11 a.m. at 400 W. Second St., featuring local vendors offering produce, crafts, and other goods.

A special Market Day event is planned for May 16 to celebrate the market’s opening. The event will include a variety of vendors, family-friendly activities, and locally made products. Vendor registration is open to all ages and includes a $10 participation fee.

In addition, the annual Spring Community Garage Sales will take place May 15-17 across Rock Falls and Sterling. Residents can register to have their sales included on an official map distributed to shoppers. Registration tiers include standard and featured listings, with a final registration deadline of May 10.

Looking ahead, the chamber announced that its popular Tailgate Bingo event will return this summer. Tickets go on sale now at local Sauk Valley Bank locations and online. The event will feature bingo games, prizes, food vendors, and a tailgate-style setup where participants can enjoy the experience from their vehicles or lawn chairs.
