The community is invited to participate in a memorial service for deceased loved ones.

The Gathering in Remembrance will be held on Sunday, June 14, at 2:00 p.m. at First Christian Church, 3400 6th Ave., Sterling, Illinois.

The annual event provides an opportunity for those who are grieving loved ones lost in 2025-26 or before to gather and remember together. The names of those who were served by Rock River Hospice and Home will be read. Staff will lead memorial readings and meditations in this nondenominational service. Refreshments and fellowship will follow. Anyone who is grieving a loss is welcome to attend this special time of reflection, regardless of whether hospice services were used.
