The camp is open to students entering grades 6–8 and will be held on Wednesdays from 8 to 11 a.m. from June 10 through July 1 at the Whiteside Area Career Center in Sterling.
The program is presented in partnership with the Illinois Small Business Development Center at Sauk Valley Community College, Whiteside Area Career Center, and University of Illinois Extension 4‑H.
Throughout the program, students will practice leadership, teamwork, and communication while developing a business idea from concept to launch. Participants will also create products and develop pricing, branding, and marketing plans while building real-world skills and confidence.
The camp will conclude with a real pop-up business experience on July 11 at the Grandon Civic Center, where students will sell their products to the public.
The cost to participate is $50 per student, and space is limited. Registration is required by June 2.
