All funds raised will go toward the Encore Capital Campaign to help the theatre replace and repair some of its oldest infrastructure, including the main floor seats, the terrazzo floors, and the marquee on the west side of the building.
Many of the seats throughout the theatre are in disrepair from years of use and will need to be completely replaced, while the original balcony seats require repair and reupholstering. The terrazzo floors are more than 100 years old and have experienced wear over the years through renovations, reconstruction, and changing uses of the theatre.
The theatre is also looking to repair and modernize the building’s marquee, which has started to leak, causing some of the lights to fail.
The Fundraising Gala aims to raise funds for all three projects and help move the theatre into the future. Only 150 tickets will be sold at $25 each. Concessions and a full-service cash bar will be available during the event, along with food provided by Salamandra restaurant in Dixon.
Tickets may be purchased online at Dixon Historic Theatre, at the theatre box office during posted hours, or during any show.
