“Volckmann History Trifecta” will be presented by William and Ted Volckmann of Morrison. Topics include Brig. General Russell Volkmann, a WWII hero and their father, the Rich Toy Factory, and Volckmann Furniture MFG. Co.

Pictured below, WWII hero Russell W. Volckmann is shown seated at far right, with American military representatives at the Japanese surrender, September 2, 1945. His autobiography “We Remained” describes his bold refusal to leave the Philippines combatants to fight the Japanese soldiers. Instead, he led them into the hills, taught effective guerrilla warfare tactics, and effectively struck the enemy forces.
